    Hello,
Yesterday, I decided to migrate from EAV 3.0.684 to the new fresh release EAV 4.0.
I first uninstalled deeply my current version (directory and registry keys). Then I installed EAV 4.0...

    Everything work fine.
Installation was performed without any problem,
I choose not to import my EAV 3.0 settings and to start from scratch EAV configuration (very quick, because of default settings). I only had to set my email address for notification, and to check for pop3 client and internet browser (only IE7 that don't use in fact, and Firefox)...

I did a full scan => No problem with EAV

So thank you very much, Eset team, for this good job !!!

Now, and this is the most important, I expect that this new release have been enhanced to fight new rogues and spywares... And I hope that Eset will get better result than with EAV 3.0 in future benchmarks (Virus Bulletin and so on...)

    Regards

PS : sorry for my bad english, I'm french

your english is very good, don't apologize!

i am still debating whether or not to upgrade from version 3.0.684 to 4.0.314. i am completely happy with v3, but of course, i want the latest!

i am glad to hear your experience has been good. generally, a lot of the folks who post in support forums do so because they are experiencing problems. it's good to hear a success story once in a while, thanks for posting.

I have around 20 users that I pushed 4.0 to.. They have had zero issues thus far. I did my first server today (2008 Server Global Catalog and DHCP Server). No issues..

I'm very satisfied with this new release.
And I m also glad that there are more users who are happy with version 4

Just hopping that ESET will provide solutions for those users who have some issues with this new release.

    Once again well done ESET

PS:Where can I sign up for ESET newsletter?
    Thanks in advance

There appear to be some issues surrounding 7 zip but I don't use that.

Using NOD32 4.0.314 along with the latest ZoneAlarm Pro, Webroot Spy Sweeper, and evaluation release of Prevx Edge without any trouble.

By the way, shouldn't NOD32 for 64-bit Windows be given a different name? (At the moment I'm at a loss for what name to suggest....)

    Hi Kriebly,
What version of Spy Sweeper you are using? I had recentely Spy Sweeper 6.1(latest) and NOD32 Antivirus v4 and my computer froze, couple of times. I had to install back Spy Sweeper 5.5.7.124. Now it's peace again, no problems.

    6.1.0 (build 100)

I generally update my software within two weeks of the update coming out, so I've been using release 6 of Spy Sweeper for a while now. This is on XP SP3. I never had a problem other than deciding when to schedule the various on-demand scans. :)

Thank you for the product! Migrated from my Smart Security 3.0.684 license. Very satisfied! Configured fir maximum security and made the Rescue CD (thanks for this feature!). Works great! Time to tell my friends to migrate too!

P.S. I heard there were problems with blocking internet connections... No bugs with my ESET.
P.P.S. Guys, don't forget to update program modules too! :)
