ESET firewall question

I apologise if this question is too simple or is covered somewhere I should have looked.

If I bring up the active network connections and and choose "deny communications for this connection" for a certain connection, does this block the connection permanently or only for the duration of that session? If it blocks it permanently, how do I unblock it?

Thank you for your inquiry. If you select an action on a network item, it will enter a rule into the firewall to either allow or deny it. You may need to reset the firewall rules to clear out the problematic rule.
