    Hello,

I have installed Eset File Security For Microsoft Windows Server version 4.5.12005.0 and is spawning a lot of appcmd.exe processes. What could be the cause of this? They consume 38-40MB per process. They never deallocate. I have to manually taskkill them.

This is on a Windows 2008 Standard Service Pack 2.

    Hello Jasone,

do you have IIS role on that server installed?

Could you please provide us with SysIspector log, Export of settings, Processmonitor log capturing events in the system during issue occerance (at least 2 or 3 minutes) and a log file created by this command:
    C:\Windows\System32\Inetsrv\appcmd.exe list site -text:logFile.directory

Please upload them to a safe location and provide me with download link via PM with reference to his threat.

As a workaround you may disable Automatic exclusions:
Open Eset File Security For Microsoft Windows Server F5 > Server Protection > Automatic Exclusions > untick Microsoft Internet Information Services

    Thank you.
