at the end of the installation i get: <quote> Unable to execute file: C:\Program files\ProcessGuard\procguard.chm ShellExecuteEx failed; code 1155. No application is associated with the specific file for this operation</quote> can someone help me
Hi Tieferrow . It looks as if you haven't got any application associated for .chm filetypes as your error states. Can you have a look to see if in fact there is an application associated? To do this, follow these steps: > Open up "My Computer". > Click on "Tools" and select "Folder Options". > Click on "File Types" and scroll down until you find the extension CHM. > Highlight CHM and you should then be able to see what application it opens with (if any).It should say that it opens with the "Microsoft HTML Help Executable". Please post back your findings. Regards, Jade.
sry, i didnt post for a while, my comp crashed and the interent was screwy for a bit, anyways, apparently the file extension CHM doesnt exist, is this a problem
Hmmm, check to see if hh.exe is in your c:\windows folder. If it is, then it may be that required file/s haven't registered correctly. To register, do this: > Click on START and then RUN > Type this into the box (without the quotes) - "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\hhctrl.ocx" (see screenshot if in doubt). >Then click OK Does that fix the problem? If not you may want to try this little application called MJ's Help Diagnostics. Hope it goes well. Regards, Jade.
