My dad recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 5537 computer and added ESET NOD32 Anti-virus software, version 4. When he did, his computer froze up on him providing him with an error message of Error Code 4400:011A. The computer seems to be locked up. Has anyone experienced this or can you possibly offer a solution? Thanks, Chris

Did you uninstall the trial of Symantec or McAfee first? Dell always pre-load their computers with tons of junk.

I'm with jimwillsher and think it's probably due to previous antivirus. Most of the time if the machine locks up after installing ESET, it's because the previous AV wasn't removed completely or at all. Norton and McAfee need to be removed with their removal tools to make sure the drivers and services are gone.
