    Hi all

We're getting "Error communicating with kernel" on a remote SBS 2003 box. I've tried manually uninstalling but I get an error with "unable to uninstall service, check you have permission".

My next port of call is the ESET Uninstaller, however this big note on the download page scares me:

"Warning: Using the ESET Uninstaller may reset your Windows network settings."

It's a remote server, running ISA Server 2004 with two network cards etc. If it goes belly up I've no way to connect to it.

All constructive advice would be VERY welcome at this point please....

    It's NOD 32 Business Edition 4.2.35 that's installed.

    Many thanks,

    Jim

NIC settings should only be reset on Windows 7 providing that the "/reinst" switch is used.

Thanks Marcos. And is Safe Mode an absolute requirement? It's 300 miles away.....

Is installation over the top with 4.2.71 likely to make things better or worse?
