    Well I am a newbie on these forums. found them after searching for a fix on an issue I have with Aronis True Image

    I downloaded the free trial version of True IMage 8 just yesterday. Running Windows 2000 pro. Installation went fine (or so I thought). Untill I had to run the program. Then it freaked out and gave the error Error 000101F4 cannot find the necessary Acronis True Image Modules. Please re-install Acronis True Image.

    Okay after some digging I found this thread on these boards
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=39837

    I didn't have a previous version loaded, this is the first (and maybe last) time trying an Acronis product

    So far I am less than impressed-- If it takes a computer pro just to install, what the heck good is it to the rest of the 98% of the computer using world.

    Hello akolleth,

    Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Please accept my apologies for the delay with the response.

    Please do the following in order to solve the problem:

    - Uninstall the free trial version of Acronis True Image 8.0;

    - Download the latest version of Acronis drivers and install it with disabled logging;

    - Install the trial version of Acronis True Image 8.0;

    - See if the problem still persists.

    If the problem still persists then please create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Please also enable logging by running the SnapAPI_l_s_e.exe file once again, reproduce the problem and collect the c:\snapapi.log file.

    Could you please also run Acronis True Image 8.0 installation package once again with /log key, install the program and collect the install.log file from the folder you install Acronis True Image to.

    To run the installation package with /log key please do the following:

    - Go to Start -> Run;

    - Browse the installation file;

    - Add "/log" (without quotes) to the string.

    Please also find the full version name and build number as it is shown here;

    Send all the collected files and information to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Thank you.
