    Eraser Installation
    ...............................................................................
    If you have an older version of Eraser installed on your system, make sure you uninstall it before installing the latest version. If the uninstaller asks you to restart the computer, do it now.
    Uncompress the archive, "Eraser Setup.zip", into a temporary directory (you will need an application like WinZip for this).
    Install Eraser by double clicking on the windows installer file, "EraserSetup.exe". The archive contains a digital signature for the setup program so you can verify its authenticity. After the installation is completed, you can remove the setup files. Eraser 5.81 is now installed. Enjoy.

    PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT HAVE THE RELEASE NOTES TO HAND AT THIS TIME

    Do you know if this release has sorted the disastrous (for some users) issues with the earlier 5.8 releases?

    "first and last clusters" issues
    "Erase free space" issues
    afaicr some users lost all their data at one point.

    Unless there is really sound evidence that this release is cool, I would be very very careful.

    Poor Garret was copping it from all over for a while.
    I'll be having a look.
    5.7 has been good to me.
    I regard this as one of the best utilities ever.

    I was Erasing my browser cashe with the explorer feature,and on the right click sub menu erase was mising so I clicked delete. The dialog box asked me mi I wanted to Erase these files (but I clicked delete)when Eraser did erase those files it was at a snails pace. I haven't used the rest of Eraser 5.81 yet. But if the rest of it is like what I have experenced I am going back to Eraser 5.7. For Eraser 5.81 the watchword certainly is cairefull.

    I'll be interested in "what now"
    Why an upgrade so soon 5.81 >> 5.82 ??

    I would be very happy if this FANTASTIC free utility could be made better

    Too nervous to try this yet. :(


    Anybody have comments or experience. ??
