ErAce is designed to wipe hard disks in a reliable way by booting from external devices, CDRom or USB for instance.

Have you used this? How does it compare to DBAN?

    1. 400MB ISO, wtf -- DBAN saves you 386MB of space (do the math for time)
    2. Overcharging with CD:s.
    3. No hash for download or digital signatures
    4. Finnish bank account for donations. (Nyt jätkät oikeesti)
    5. Twitter and Facebook buttons, "like us"
    6. advertised as free software; free as in free beer; no source provided.
    7. Images of hard drives, no images of UI.
    8. No specs + claiming the system meets DoD standards without any documents about audit

    My opinion?
Nope. At current stage I wouldn't even bother trying it out.
