ERA hangs on update

    ERA v.3.0.105 (and previously 3.0.39) hangs showing the following display in the ERA console under Server Options -> Updates:
    Update state - Update: compiling... 50%
    Clearing cache and restarting the update doesn't change the indicator.
    The ERA log doesn't show any corresponding entry.
    The update folder contains update.ver 3917 (20090307) for ENGINE2, CONTINUOUS_ENGINE1 to CONTINUOUS_ENGINE15.
    Is this only a display error or more fatal?

    The last time I had a similar issue, I got around it by stopping the ESET RAS service, going to %allusersprofile%\Application Data\ESET\ESET Remote Administrator\Server\ and deleting the contents of updfiles and mirror, then rebooting and forcing an update. Everything downloaded and rebuilt itself and I was running.

    Following your advice was successful. ERA is now up and running.
