    As long as they release security updates for 10 years (for LTSB), I don't think this is a problem. I'm running 1507 release in VM with no problems.

    You can run it well... forever.

    People are still running Windows XP years after Microsoft pulled the plug on it.

    I see LTSB as the successor to XP and 7. Its awesome, quiet and super-stable.

    Yes, I still prefer to use supported OS.
    You're right, LTSB seems the best solution for people that want their OS to be just that and not everything but a kitchen sink.
