After installing Endpoint, my computers take very long time to login to our 2003 ad domain.
it takes about 2 min after you press CTRL-ALT-DEL till you can see the start button on Windows XP Pro SP3 clients.
if i uninstall endpoint this takes about 10 sec.

If i let the computer wait for about five minutes at the login screen. the login goes quite fast, about 10 sec

    i have exlcuded c:\windows\CSC\*.*
also in my system event log i have an entry (7022) about ESET SHA SERVICE stoped during start

It affects both WinXP and Win7
this event log is from win7 64bit

If excluding c:\windows\CSC\*.* helps, then it's a bug that is planned to be fixed in the next service build.

NO excluding c:\winodws\csc\*.* does not help

we do not use roming profiles or offline files

Just out of curiosity, do you have the SSL Protocol filtering enabled on your ESET client? Also, try disabling Device control on the client to see if that may fix the problem.

Ok, please try disabling HIPS and automatic real-time protection start, one at a time, followed by a computer restart to narrow it down to the particular module.

HIPS and Automatic Realtime Protection start did not change the startup time... and i still had the ESET SHA service error...

i found a button that reverted all configuration to standard.. this made huge change in startuptime .. its now 35sec and the eset sha service eventlog error is gone... its still 20 sec slower than no endpoint installed

    Hello,

Have you contacted ESET's Swedish distributor to open a ticket? In addition to the XML configuration, they will probably want an ESET SysInspector log file from one or two of the affected endpoints.

    Regards,
