Agree Tom. The downside that I have had to work through with folks is they don't do what I'll refer to as the "prerequisite" homework/backups for failures. The restore of a fully encrypted disk is completely different than that of what we can call a conventional disk configuration. Its been years since I ran "open" disk structure but I do remember having to transition to methods for restoring encrypted platters. Most newbies just wing the encryption and then WHEN (not if) disaster strikes they are screwed.
