"Enable Loopback" question!

    I had it in Comodo, OA and PC Tools FW. I was reading one of the threads about Private Firewall and someone mentioned it doesn't have that option. I remember when I was using NOD32 that it configured itself somewhat like a proxy and it was recommended to enable that feature in your firewall. I'm behind a router so I'm not real concerned about this but am still wondering what possible security I'm missing with PW?

    If you read the release notes for privatefirewall, they simply say

    Which, to me, suggests they're still supporting loopback requirements for applications that use something like NSPR for socket communication, they simply hide it from the user.

    I could be wrong...

    As for Firefox or PunkBuster you are never asked about loopback connections we can presume it doesnt have a loopback interception.Simple.
    Also the log doesnt show anything related to any loopbacks.
