I've scanned my laptop and desktop many times with EAM V7.0.0.8 without any issues. :thumb:
(I always use Custom Scan and enable all scanning options except "Use Extension Filter List")

We published a new scan engine build today that should fix both the blue screen as well as the quick scan issue you have been experiencing. Could you please try to run the online update and let me know if those problems still occur on your system?

    Thanks :).

Updated to v7.0.0.9. Ran quick and smart scans. No problems. :)

I have a question about the BD engine. Months ago I purchased a 1 year 3 PC license for Bitdefender 2012 AV from Newegg for something like $5.00. Great deal! My plan was that I would replace Norton 2012 AV with Bitdefender when the Norton license expired. In the meantime I purchased a two year EAM license from Emsisoft and I love it. What happens now that Emsisoft has dropped the Ikrarus engine in favor of BD? Did I waste $5.00 on that BD license? :) I like the idea of having EAM running right along side Norton but installing BD next month when the Norton license expires now seems redundant to say the least.

I would say that EAM is a more complete "suite" compared to Bitdefender AV.
Does Bitdefender AV comes with the HIPS features?

Thanks for the response. Bitdefender AV 2012 does not come with HIPS to my knowledge, but I have that covered with Comodo D+. I would much rather find another AV instead of BD to run alongside EAM 7.0 now that the BD engine is going to be used in place of Ikarus. The $5.00 I spent on Bitdefender is not a big deal. I am leaning toward SecureAnywhere if I can find a good deal. Running SecureAnywhere along with EAM 7.0 and then Comodo for my firewall and HIPS should make for some very good protection. Nice and lightweight, too I would think.

You're forgetting that EAM has two engines. EAM is more than enough as a single standalone product. No need for another AV. And the a2 square days are over. No longer complementary but compatible. And complete AV solution. It replaces your AV completely.

OA perfectly works in conjunction with EAM to provide all round protection.:)

EAM is 198mb installer. Not good. It used to be 100mb. It keeps on growing. I thought Emsisoft was taking the lean and mean position.
