The Guardian 2019 World's 26 richest people own as much as poorest 50%, says Oxfam https://www.theguardian.com/busines...n-as-much-as-poorest-50-per-cent-oxfam-report Politifact 2012 Bernie Sanders says Walmart heirs own more wealth than bottom 40 percent of Americans https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-...s-says-walmart-heirs-own-more-wealth-bottom-/ ....We rate it True.
Maybe minimum-wage workers aren't a huge part of their market. I mean, I'm not exactly poor, and I refuse to pay more than $2 for a cup of coffee.
It probably is a sad truth that the people that work for them probably can't afford their own product. When these folks go from poor to homeless it will become everyone's problem. Crime will increase as they are forced to steal to live. This is not a problem that will solve itself. I agree, nobody should pay more than $2 for a coffee. People that pay excessive prices for items are enablers. This is why we have $6 coffee and $1,000+ phones.

And helped by the fact that most competitors in Europe and Asia had been trashed during the war.
