Will there be beta version of EMON available in other languages than Slovak and Czech? In documentation it is said that it must be installed only into the same language version of NOD32...

It seems that nobody is interested in testing of EMON for Office 11!
Guys @ ESET, you are not interrested to have some feedback from users of other versions than Slovak and Czech?

    It's a shame, really... o_O

No doubt it will come in time, I can understand bringing out the product in their own language first ;)

    Cheers :D

    Info found here

IMON (Internet MONitor), is the second NOD32 resident scanner. It runs on the Winsock level and scans internet traffic (e-mail) incoming via the POP3 protocol. IMON replaces the NOD32’s for POP3 filter (known from the former NOD32 version) with enhanced email protection. Almost no configuration is required, which is great for non-technical users.

EMON (Email MONitor), a complementary resident module, scans e-mails incoming via MAPI interface. MAPI interface is used e.g. in the following e-mail clients: Microsoft Outlook 95, 97, 2000 (not Outlook Express) in the Corporate mode and in MS Exchange. MS Outlook 2002(Office XP) and Outlook 2003 are not suported in the current version of EMON. MAPI interface is used also when receiving e-mails from the Microsoft Exchange Mail Server via the Exchange protocol.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When the MAPI Interface is not used on the computer EMON is not needed and therefore will NOT be installed. The e-mails incoming via the POP3 protocol will be checked by IMON

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

    Question for ESET

Since I am running the "beta" EMON module I notice that during any silent updates that I get this email message since I have configured NOD32 to notify me by email in regards to failed updates ect ect......

"10/3/2004 9:43:00 AM - During execution of EMON - Microsoft Outlook email monitor on the computer (redacted), the following warning occured: Unable to load module (2).

    __________ NOD32 1.882 (20041002) Information __________

This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system.
    http://www.nod32.com"

Is this normal since I am running the "beta" version of EMON and if so..When is the "beta" going to be finalized and incorporated into the next version of NOD32 ?

    Thanks

    Saphire

Do they ever read or reply to these emails? I sent an email detailing the same problem as I saw above but no reply. Do they release updated beta's?

    Hi davidwnod32,

thanks for your message - the EMON developer is checking the e-mails received on betaemon@eset.sk - he is processing them and is replying, if needed. Now he is out of the office for a couple of days, but he will check it when he is back.

    Rgds., :)

Well as I can see, Emon is only for users of Outlook right ?
It doesn´t apply to Outlook Express or Eudora users, am I right ?

    Best Regards,

    DonKid.

Has anybody else had problems installing it. On one machine I find it keeps coming up (114) Setup.xml is damaged or missing. I've tried it on a different machine and it works fine.
