Yes, you're right they fix things they do it fast. But still with the latest updates I have the cpu that does not calm at all and in general higher cpu loads. I'm certain that these are issues related with Emsisoft's software, so unfortunately for the moment I have no positive feelings about the new version. I have two licenses and I'll be really unhappy if I'll have to drop them.

Oh yeah they hate each other. I couldn't get by my opening desktop and EAM wouldn't open up and run. Thats a tough pill for me because I love both MBAM and EAM.

I guess I'll have to uninstal and install again and see how the things go.

I have some good news, I have uninstalled and installed again. Now the cpu load is back to zero. I'd like to know what really caused all this mess...update gone bad...who knows. The fact is that I have normal cpu load now so I can continue to use my license.

Seems to me the guard takes some time to load. The surf protection will drive you nuts with the popups. Other than that seems to be fairly light.

I installed this program today and I must say that I am really shocked about the amount of RAM Emsisoft uses. An incredible 150+ megs, just while running. That is really too much for me and I think many others....

Yeah initially it does use that much of RAM but eventually it comes back to normal

Mine starts at 150K. After it loads it drops down to the 20k. It also slowed down the starting of Firefox. As much as I'm a emsisoft fan, I can't run it.

Update from here - i tried Emsisoft v5 together with Malware Defender,
unfortunately i experienced some BSOD in Win7/32/HomePrem when
re-loading MD after a gaming session. i didnt had that issue with Eset nor avast5.

I too tried MD with Emsisoft v5 on XP Pro same problem here too. I guess the BB component might be conflicting

that was my first impression as well when i read his post, it could be a conflict of BB and HIPS products.
