I am using TI 9.0 latest build downloaded yesterday.
Unfortunately I cannot boot any emergency system.
The splash screen appears and I choose "Full System" as recommended. Then the message "Loading, please wait." appears for a minute or so and then the system reboots completely.
This behaviour is the same for Active Recovery, burned CD-R and the original Acronis disk.
If I omit the kernel option "quiet", Linux boots without errors and I get a shell. However If I leave the shell with CTRL-D I get something like: "mount: unknown error - error 16" and the system reboots.
Truning off acpi and apic does not help.

Disk 1: Maxtor IDE-Disk (with security zone)
Disk 2: IBM-scsi Disk (very fast) (with windows xp system).
    Adaptec 29160N SCSI-controller
    SCSI CD-Recordable drive from TEAC.

    Has anyone any ideas?

    Thank you very much!
    Greetings

    Just one more remark:
Under Linux (redhat, suse and debian) all drives work wonderfully.

    y.s.

A couple of hardware items that seem to be problematic at times for TI are USB hubs and wireless keyboard/mouse. If you have any of these, remove them (use standard keyboard/mouse) and see if it cures the problem.

Thank your for your hint Mr. "Chutsman".

I switched off the usb controller completely in the bios, but it did not change anything.
Keyboard and mouse are simple standard devices that work 100%.

I wonder, why I do not get the choice to execute the safe version (without usb and scsi).

The True Image Rescue startup screen offers only the full version with all drivers.

    Greetings

If you are saying that the bootable rescue CD is giving you only the Full System to choose then something is wrong with the CD. There should be three choices, Full, Safe, and Normal Windows.

Before buring another Rescue CD, try the present CD on another computer.
