I received this email from someone who I never in the first place sent an email. I have spyblaster up to date, my anti virus is up to date and says nothing is there. I only know what these sorts of forums have taught me, I am not a puter genious by any means. I don't know if i should just lv well enough alone or continue my search. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Confused Mom!

a virus with the subject "Test" to:
    claudia@ev1.net.
The E-mail containing the virus has been removed to prevent further damage.

the W32/Mydoom.a@MM virus !!! was found in file: readme.pif"

    Hi Stef,

Others might correct me (and are welcome to, if they disagree), but I believe if you simply delete it you'll be ok.

From what I've heard, MyDoom is not a threat unless and until you open its attachment -- which you should be in the habit of not doing anyway, especially if you don't recognize the sender.

There are, unfortunately, some mailers which automatically open attachments without asking you first -- if your setup includes an option to turn that "convenience" off, I'd strongly urge you to do that.

    Best,
    Mike
