Yesterday I emailed a software patch (installaer file) as an attachment. The email was sent rather quickly and there was no ESS tag on the email saying either the email or attachment were scanned by ESS.

However if I email a jpeg or txt file as an attachment, ESS scans it and does append the ESS tag to the bottom of the email.

    Has anyone else noticed this?
Is there a known work around?
Or is this a bug in 3.0.621, and if so, where should I report it?

I didn't know that ESS scanned outgoing email and I am sure that it does not scan any of my outgoing email. Is there an option to turn this on?

The MS Outlook plugin supports scanning of outgoing email because MS Outlook allows this via MAPI.
