Ekrnl.Exe System Error Hangs

    Using NOD32 w/ W2K SP4 for several months, but in past month, about every half hour, system hangs with error message stating that ekrnl.exe has caused fault.

    How to fix?

    man you are using too old version letest is v642
    download v642 and install it then tell us

    If it really is ekrnl.exe, I'd check it at Virustotal or Jotti. As the one I've got is ekrn.exe.

    I note the errata: It is indeed ekrn.exe not ekrnl.exe

    I would have thought that the NOD32 updates would automatically install the latest version. But I have now downloaded and installed 6.0.642, and the same error message for ekrn.exe appears with system hang.

    How to fix?

    you say you got this issue past month please do this
    uninstall EAV it's take 2 to 6 min donot restart pc in uninstalling after messege apear restart window and manual delete these registry key's
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ESET
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET
    after that install eav again and do not enable advanced heuristic's on realtime protection
    then tell us if problem still remain
