Please follow the instructions in this post to report possible FP's: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=245129 not in the forums as the Prevx Staff does not want them posted in the Support forums! https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1678435&postcount=8 TH
I'll just reply to this one... that's a lot of hassle to just fix simple FPs. Why not just make a section for FPs here? Doesn't have to be a single thread.
They had a thread and it was abused and they want us users to send it to them Directly now, that's the reason for the sticky! Sorry but it's there rules! TH
Understood. So... does the built-in feature to report a file as a FP after a manual scan actually send a FP report to Prevx HQ?
It was abused by a few and used by many. A good moderator can (and should) delete the abuse with ease. There are lots of reasons why a false positive thread is needed, but the best one that comes to my mind is, it is a place for all users to quickly check to see if what is happening on their machine is happening to others as well! This is what I miss about the decision to discontinue the false positive thread.
Yes exactly FPs are reported centrally from the product but not fixed automatically. If you want a FP fixed quickly, please send it to report@prevxresearch.com The alternative best way to report a FP is to use our support inbox - already many users report issues to multiple different places so requiring FPs to only be sent to us via email or the inbox directly simplifies reporting and reduces unnecessary effort.
