honestly, leave edge alone, try edgeredirect if you dare. it do not eat weed if you dont use it, otherwise read the edge thread here which contains a lot of setting hints and more.
@xxJackxx - I believe, at some point, USA will get what EU has with EDGE options. Workaround! Disable not delete, defuse triggers invoking EDGE. M$ known to invoke Edge widgets, taskbar search field, weather M$ land mine, maybe M$ games could include Xbox, I'll bet visiting M$ we page invokes Edge; perhaps one-drive visit makes Edge default. A list of apps invoking Edge becoming default should be made/available! Another approach is perhaps shielding, say, Chrome, so Edge can try to be the default but cannot.

here is Christitus's Ultimate Windows Utility. Scroll down and copy the powershell prompt. Run PS in admin, paste the prompt and a utility pops up. I use it all the time. Has anyone else noticed that smooth scrolling stops working after a period of time requiring an Edge restart to make it work again? Edit: I just noticed that blocking Media Autoplay is not sticking in this version of Edge. Edge Version 124.0.2478.80
