Echo 9.7.8206 Installation was interrupted...Acronis True Image Echo Workstation

Trying to upgrade to Echo 9.7.8206 from Workstation 9.1.3887 on XP SP3. Receiving error of: "The installation was interrupted before Acronis True Image Echo Workstation could be installed. You need to restart the installer and try again."

I'm able to reload & uninstall Workstation 9.1.3887 just fine but not Echo. I've gone through most of the threads on this issue:
-uninstalled all spyware & antivirus software - no firewalls exist - ran CCleaner to rid temporary files - tried installing under Administrator - reinstalled Windows installer - completed the full manual registry uninstall - and a other steps too numerous to mention. What are the next steps in troubleshooting this?

 

Have you included deleting all temporary files in the hidden C:\Documents and Settings\your_log_on\Local Settings folder?
