After installing the RC (version 4.0.226.0) Outlook (version 2002 with SP 3) hangs. Starting is only possible when Add-In: c:\progra~1\eset\esetno~1\eplgou~1.dll is deactivated.

Is it hanging or just becoming sluggish? Nod32 does a full scan of your mailboxes when it is first installed and performance tends to be bad, but it goes away after a while. Are you using cached mode for exchange connections?

There is also a setting for Outlook to repeat that scan after each update, you may want to consider disabling that.

After updating to database 3893 EAV the active add-in eplgou~1.dll prevents Outlook from starting correctly: "Microsoft Outlook has recognized a problem and has to be terminated..." (translated message). Waiting a few minutes has no effects. Even rebooting. Only disabling the add-in allows Outlook to start correctly.

    Re-installation solves this problem.
