    something on this popped up a while back, it resulted in Origin/EA removing a paragraph refurring to scanning your computer for installed software - not that i beleive them but it ended in them removing that part of the EULA.

    I understand the need for CD Keys but some of this DRM goes way beyond what is necessary. It is why I have become very selective with what games I buy and research what DRM they use before buying. Some of this you have to wonder what their motives are.

    I hate this. I may give up on Battlefield 3 because of it. Thankfully, AppGuard has been listing a lot of blocking to Origin from ProgramData and other user areas. It's a shame you have to tolerate spyware in order to enjoy the latest video games. Thankfully again, certain upcoming EA published titles will not require Origin whatsoever (in egs. SWTOR)
