E00070021 ... "currently in use by applications..."

    Hi,

    "E0070021: Cannot create the image of the logical drive C: because it is currently in use by running applicationsw or the logical drive contains bad sectors"

    I got this error on one of my Servers using Acronis True Image Enterprise Server (Build 1213) Trial edition.

    I have 4 server, all are windows 2k3 enterprise editions.

    ExchangeServer - Exchange
    Server01 - Exchange/DNS/DHCP
    Server02 - DNS
    FTPServer

    The problematic server is ExchangeServer, I cannot create an image, keep on getting the "E0070021" error.

    Is there anything I am missing? I ran chkdsk -r on exchangeserver and there's no bad sectors.

    I have diskkeeper installed on all the servers, 3 of them work so I don't think the diskkeeper is the cause of the error.

    I really like how TI works compared to Symantec's Vertias but looks like I may have to find other backup software if I cannot use TI to backup my exchange server.

    Any input will be appreciated.

    Please download the latest version of Acronis drivers, install it with disabled logging and see if the problem still persists.

    If the problem still persists then enable logging by running the Acronis drivers installation package once again, reproduce the problem and collect the c:\snapapi.log file.

    Please submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread.     After installing the latest drivers http://download.acronis.com/support/SnapAPI.215_s_e.exe, I received a different error… E000101F4 : Cannot find the necessary Acronis True Image Enterprise Server modules. Please reinstall Acronis true Image Enterprise Server”.

    Can this be the wrong driver?

    Please reinstall Acronis True Image 8.0 Enterprise Server for Windows and see whether the problem still persists.

    If that does not help then please download this version of Acronis drivers, install it with disabled logging and see if the problem still persists.

    Hi,

    I reinstalled Acronis True Image Enterprise Server 8.0, restarted then installed the http://www.acronis.com/files/support/SnapAPI_l_s_e.exe.

    Restarted again, and got the same error -> "E000101F4 : Cannot find the necessary Acronis True Image Enterprise Server modules. Please reinstall Acronis true Image Enterprise Server”.

    The program would not let me create a backup image, the error pops up when I start TI and also when I try to click "Next" in the create image wizard.
