E000101F4: Unable to open (initialize) computer

    Acronis True Image Management Console® (build 8,018
    Acronis True Image Agent 9.5.8018

    We attempted to run an Acronis backup that failed with the following error:
    Error (Code) 1,024 (0x10400)
    Child process has exited with code 1

    Now when we try to start a backup job or edit a pre-existing job on a Windows 2000 SP4 server using the Management console, we receive this

    E000101F4: Unable to open (initialize) computer

    Unable to connect to agent because it's fdisk module already used (0x100154)
    Tag = 0xA624C101110EDA33


    This is a production server that cannot be rebooted at this time. I'd like to know what the error means and what to do about it.

    Could you please try to restart Management Console and Agent and check if the issue still exist.

    You've restarted it but issue is not fixed then could you please submit a request for technical support. Attach full log with this error messaged and the related information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.
