Gentoo Linux 2.6.18-gentoo-r3, installed Acronis Enterprise Echo Server 9.7.8206 Linux Agent, received no errors. I can successfully start the agent on the Gentoo system.
After connecting to the Linux Agent from Acronis True Image Management Console when I select 'My Computer' and click NEXT I get
E000101F4: Unable to open (initialize) computer
Required kernel object module ('snapapi' driver) not found during initialization (0x1000FA)

If I select My Data it lets me backup just the files, not the partitions.

    SnapAPI26.ko/snumbd26.ko modules exist in /lib/modules/2.6.18-gentoo-r3/kernel/drivers/block/

When I run dkms status I get :
    snapapi26, 0.7.42, 2.6, i686: built
    snapapi26, 0.7.42, 2.6.18-gentoo-r3, i686: installed

    I did run 'dkms install -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.42 -k 2.6.18-gentoo-r3 --arch i686 --kernelsourcedir /usr/src/linux and it was successful

    Trueimage-setup.log says:
    snapapi26.ko:
    - Original module
    - No original module exists within this kernel
    - Installation
    - Installing to /lib/modules/2.6.18-gentoo-r3/kernel/drivers/block//

    snumbd26.ko:
    - Original module
    - No original module exists within this kernel
    - Installation
    - Installing to /lib/modules/2.6.18-gentoo-r3/kernel/drivers/block//

    DKMS: install Completed.
    glibc version is: 2.6.1

    Hello brianlewis,

Thank you for using Acronis Corporate Products

Usually such issues occur when you install Snapapi module using improper kernel sources or kernel config file. If you issue the 'modprobe snapapi26' command and check the dmesg output after that you will see some errors about snapapi26 module inserting. We can recommend you to double check that the sources and config file correspond to your running kernel and re-compile snapapi26 module.

    Thank you.
