DVD Image

I have made two attempts to burn an image of my C:\ partition to a DVD and both times it has been reported as a 'success' but when I check the disc contents I find that on each occasion it contains two images. The combined total amounts to 3.6GB which is well inside the capacity of the DVD so why does it not do the complete image as one 'file'. Is this normal?

What a quick response!. Here is the ifo. you asked for,
My Backup1.tib 2,097,150Kb
My Backup2.tib 1,528,738Kb

Have just read your reply on my other posting. First of all my DVd is +RW and I gave it a full format using Roxio Drag to Disc. Which is my normal proceedure.

Have you UDF-fromatted your DVDs or formatted into some other format? Also please make sure you haven't splitted the image. Did I get you right that both DVDs you created got the identically same files?

Yes. As far as I'm aware it's normal for TI to split the image into 2097150KB chunks when imaging direct to DVD RW via UDF packet writing software. I use Ahead's InCD and my current image, created direct to DVD RW, consists of two .tib files at 2097150KB each plus one at 261658KB.
