With a couple of screen shots have brought us this far, Its only fair that I make a curry out of it... :p

Just as the prophecy had predicted release of ver. 4.70 with HTTP scanning and then ver5 by end of fourth quarter ...
I present compelling evidence for the same :

    1. Beta of 4.70 is on:
You can see many post (Russian) in DrWeb Forum for ver. 4.70 beta. If someone can translate and summarize, it would be very nice.
    2. Alpha of 5.0 is on:
From the post above, you can make your way throw what seems to be test source site. If you didn't find it already, here is the link:
As you can see, DrWeb Enterprise Suite ver. 4.70 (labeled RELEASE) and ver. 5.0 (labeled ALPHA) is available from the site.

Note that what ever I have dug-up is available in public domain, so don't blame me ( I am like eBaum's World ) .

I don't have a key.But if someone out there has a valid DrWeb Enterprise Suite Key, maybe they could try it ;)

    EDIT

If you have a AV Desk Key then you could try download 4.70 from:
    http://people.drweb.com/people/john/AV-Desk/

I don't have key for AV desk too !!

an alpha for v5 has been made, but only a select few people (of about 20 or so) have been selected to try it.

And are you among them? They really should make you one of those people, after all the "volunteer support" you have given users of their product :)

Of cource Chris is not one of them ..... Its just so happens that the KGB sent him the snap-shots of the top-secret project codenamed 'DrWeb V5'.
Hence he always mentions that he can't give details .... Because if he told us the truth, he will have to kill us :)

I think 4.70 will support 64 bit. If you can see my post #154 and the link to the files (4.70 Release and 5.0 Alpha) you will find files called drweb-xxx-windows-nt-x64.exe .

So I think that is proof that 4.70 and 5.0 will support x64.

From discussions with DrWEB and Avira support this is a Windows problem. My Avira Security Suite has to be manually set to "always show" with each startup. I went through the same thing with DrWEB when I had a license. It gets a little irritating at times... :cautious: :D

Drweb knows about this and it's not a windows problem, the icon was built to do that which is plain stupid, I will pray to the lord of spiders for this to get fixed:D ...:'( :'(

A few fairly silly posts have been removed. We don't need jokes about people, drinking or real spiders. This thread does have a topic and that is Dr.Web v5.

Looking forward to trying V5 when it's avaliable.
I have a lic for 4.44 but rarely run realtime since I believe it's not needed with my current setup.
Dr Web is one of the few AV's that run well on my system w/o any problems/issues.
I can wait for as long as it takes for a stable V5. :D

Interesting, a couple years ago they told me it was Windows related. Oh well hope they fix it for those DrWEB users then...:thumb:

    Ok, But I said x64 for 5.0 too :D

So If 4.70 is being killed and 5.0 is still in alpha. Optimistically thinking, DrWeb 5.0 could best have a public release in 2009.
Maybe if they have a beta sometime soon, we will have an end to this spiraling conversation.
