It is kind of old, but I wonder if the key would work on the new version.

    Hey Lodore

    Why drweb??

It continually finishes well behind many of the others in testing - even lower than AVG

I really have not seen Dr. Web partake in too many tests recently. Their products seem to perform pretty well in real world environments.

On top of that Dr.Web has a pretty fast virus lab, I have been submitting samples and in one set I sent in I had a response in a few hours.

Dr.Web is always the "dark horse", even though it's been around since 1992.

Minimalistic is the best word I can come up with to describe them. They seem to avoid doing anything extra or "fancy" if it doesn't improve protection. It took them ages to improve the user interface, probably because it's not the interface that protects users.
