When I try to backup my c: drive with Ds I get an error and Ds stops. Anyone know what it is ?

I have never experienced any DS error, but if I did I would send the error to Tom (te@tomehlert.de) and would include:

    - Version of Windows
    - Version of DS with date
    - Backup method used (Windows, DOS, etc.)
    - Hard drive specifics (including the name of your C drive/partition)

Agreed. I too have never had any DS error but Tom is a good guy. He will personally work with you to fix the issue.

cant recall that error but usually maybe can't copy C properly so using the :

--usevss - use the volume shadow service if available
--forcevss - use the volume shadow service.

could solve it. or running out of backup space for the image oddly enough.
