What's a good software which can detect the drivers installed on my computer, check if they are up-to-date, and if not direct me to a place to download the updated ones?

Preferably free, but if it's good enough paid won't matter.

There are several such programs. I use Driver Magician which ran me about $25 a year ago. There's also a freeware version called Driver Magician Lite.

Here's a comparison table of both versions, their download links and the Driver Magician homepage.

I ran accross Driver Magician Lite earlier today. I installed it to try it out to realize it only allows to backup. I was turned off and didn't check to see if there was a paid version with more features.

Lets see some other suggestions before I make a decision!

I also use the full (paid) version of Driver Magician. I find it works very well.
