"...Google is being sued for negligence by the family of a man who died after he drove his car off a collapsed bridge in North Carolina at night while using Google Maps directions. The tech giant had been notified several times about the danger but had not updated its directions, the lawsuit says... Paxson was unfamiliar with the roads or the fact that 'a very large section of Snow Creek Bridge had collapsed in 2013 and was never repaired,' the lawsuit says... 'The bridge had no artificial lighting, and the area was pitch black at 11 p.m...The bridge was unmarked and 'unbarricaded'..." https://www.washingtonpost.com/nati...olina-hickory-bridge-collapse-google-lawsuit/
Quite shocking, and yes Google is really bad at updating maps, especially the 3D maps. Nobody should be using Google Maps for driving purposes.
It's a sad thing but, lets get real here, this is not Google Maps fault, it the driver's or at the very least the county officials who neglected to put up warnings and barricades. This is just a money grab.
