Drive doesn't show increased free space

I have Partition Expert 2003 build 286. These were my configurations

C: NTFS 9.5 GB (7 GB used 2 GB free)
D: NTFS 90 GB (57 GB used and 32 GB free)

So I used the Free increase space wizard and increased the C drive to 17.6 GB. But now Partition Expert shows 15 used space and 2 GB free (Image attached PE.jpg). But when I right click on the C drive in windows properties, it shows the original configuration. Where did the increased space go and why do I see different thing at two different place?

I am happy to inform you that I think I will be able to support you with this particular problem since I had the exact same problem back in November 2003 (Acronis support request #26773).

1. Reboot with your PE 2003 Rescue CD.
2. Shrink the 9.5/17.6 GB C: partition just a little bit, leaving something like 50-100 MB free space after the C: partition and the D: partition.
3. Reboot back into Windows.

Edit: OBS: The latest PE 2003 build is #292 and you are running #286.
