Just get me from point "A" to point "B", what more can I ask for?

Some people obviously want more. Such as restaurant recommendations, or whatever.

You should just know by experience, just have to use your mind.

What a terrible thing to waste.

If your family can't decide where to go to eat, having restaurant recommendations seem like useful way to save gas since you aren't running around endlessly.

If you need a computer to make your choice, you are sad.

Lol. Just because you get a recommendation doesn't mean you can't use your brain to decide whether you follow it or not.

Why ever would your car need all this info? This is absurd.

With my privacy hat on, I gotta agree. However, I have many times been running out of gas, and had no clue about the nearest source. On back roads, with no signs. But even so, I'd rather just stop, and use a smartphone. Having your vehicle be another tracking device seems like overkill.

oh, great... so in addition that we have 24/7 personal spying device with us (also called "smart"phone) our cars are now spying us too....
(not to mention the rumour that CIA can hack car computers for doing assasination...)

Seriously, car industry should stop stuffing computers to new cars if they can't keep them secure. But I doubt it because they don't A) know *hit about security B) don't care *hit about security C) both A & B

And this goes double so for IoT
