Dr.Web Cureit Update

In the past, I had been looking for the Dr.Web Cureit update history in the wrong place. It is listed on their regular Antivirus Products page.

Doctor Web updated Dr.Web CureIt! utility. The upgrade increases its efficiency and stability including operation in the enhanced protection mode used to neutralize Windows blockers. Known issues have been resolved.

Doctor Web updated Dr.Web CureIt! utility: /cureit_block_net enables users to disconnect the system from the network and /cureit_disable_uac the enhanced mode. An error that occurred upon launching Dr.Web CureIt! under an account other than the one running the Windows session has been corrected.

Other corrections include the fix for an error that in some cases didn’t allow running the utility in the enhanced mode. The utility's compatibility with third party software required to run Dr.Web CureIt! in the enhanced mode has been improved and the program window display issue has been resolved.

In addition, changes have also been made to make sure that no entries related to operation of Dr.Web CureIt! are left in the Windows Registry after the utility has been closed.

In my opinion,I don't think so because "Enhanced Mode" only available for CureIT right?Correct me if I am wrong.Thanks.

Doctor Web unveiled the sixth version of its free emergency system restore product — Dr.Web LiveCD.

The new version enjoys a wide range of modifications and new features improving its usability and efficiency.

The program got a new GU and desktop background image, the quarantine to isolate suspicious and infected files in and the Control Center. It now also supports settings snapshots that allow a user to save session configuration and other data and use it in another session.

Dr.Web LiveCD 6.0 also features the ZIP utility to create password-protected archives and can update virus databases over a proxy-server.

Resolved issues include incompatibility with USB mice and keyboards, Mozilla Firefox crashing when the free memory was low and an error when incurable files weren't deleted automatically. The routine to send suspicious files for analysis to Doctor Web has also been improved.

A bootable DVD containing Dr.Web LiveCD is shipped with boxed Dr.Web Securiy Space Pro and Dr.Web Anti-virus Pro. If the system is infected, you can cure it before you install an anti-virus.

Info to the LiveCD:

I experienced it several times not to detect TDL3 whilst the normal DrWeb CureIT running in normal Windows mode safely catched and disinfected the maschine.
So i would recommend to only use the LiveCD if the Computer is not starting up..
