I don't have the firewall or http-scanner installed, someone who has might post more screens.

    How is the detection?
What are the newly added features other than firewall?

New features: full 64-bit compatibility, quarantine, new scan engine, new 3rd generation real-time monitor, user interface improvements and someone mentioned in the beta forum about completely new scanner.

No idea about detection since they don't participate in any tests, but I do know that they add more signatures per day than before because of automated systems.

I don't really understand why there is a general obsession with the GUI of an AV. If anyone spends much time in the GUI of an AV then they have a real problem. I only care if the product does it's job. I use the current Dr.Web and rarely have to venture into the GUI at all other than to do a on-demand scan occasionally. Whatever turns you on I guess.

A little change is good. I mean Dr.Web has pretty much had the same GUI since before I started using it in 2004. I know most of the changes have been under the hood but, it's nice to sees some exterior changes as well.

They must of finely upgraded the computers from 3.1 to Windows 98. At least GUI reflects that. ;)

I don't use the product and from looking at it, I wouldn't. Sorry, but if that is what their GUI looks like, they're not paying attanetion to what the consumer wants. Also, if that is their attention to detail GUI wise, then I'm not sure I trust their attention to detail program performance wise. That's as simple as it gets for me.

I'm more interested in what's changed under the hood... hips? BB? sandbox? cloud-based scanning? Far more interesting than a GUI change.

The retro look is the new fashion in many products. Get with it! Don't be out of touch with the new reality!

In case that last post is deemed off topic I'll get back on track. If you want a great GUI and that's your prime requirement then why not try some of the fake AV's out there. They have the best GUI and when your PC stops working you can look at the GUI forever!

Dr.Web may have a retro look GUI but it stops nasties dead ... and that's what I look for most in an AV.

Nope, a link to a novelty product website doesn't prove the point that software is going retro. Sorry...

I didn't say the word software, I said products. And it's not only novelty products that are going for the retro style. Many mainstream products are going that way. Retro is chic! So why not have retro look software (this time I said it)? Dr.Web may be setting a new trend.
