Mrkvonic, your article states "Best of all, Double Driver is portable and will even run from a live Windows CD." Perhaps you want to clarify that DD needs installation, prior to making a portable version using Tools > Build Double Driver Portable. Or did I miss a link to a portable version on the DD author's site?

I also tried to find a portable version, via the UBCD4WIN List of Tools, and there was no mention of DD at all.
BTW, excellent utility and article, as always.

Not sure ... I guess 32-bit only, but you can ask in their forums...

Mrkvonic, no biggie, and I see what you mean on the screen capture; thank you. :)

I installed it, created the portable version so I can carry it in my USB drive, with the other tools, and uninstalled the other.

USA still the best. But barely.
I too am interested about Vista64 use. And also the noninstall version. As I read in their forum that previous or current version when installed overwrote some system dll's.

Seems to me when I read the info on UBCD4WIN there was a mention of DD, could be wrong about this though.

This is the only program that I'm aware of that allows driver updates for free. It also will back them up. Just be sure to disable it from starting automatically (unless of course for some reason you would want that) and if you update any drivers choose the most successful download listed. You'll see what I mean as it will give you several choices listing both the number of downloads and the success rate and also version choices. Obviously, you generally want to choose the manufacturers file and the latest version. Forgot to mention that it requires registering (if I remember correctly) but it's perfectly benign!

bgoodman4, perhaps my eyes are shot, but I could not find it in this List of tools included with Ultimate Boot CD for Windows®. If you do, let me know.

Yes, that's Mrkvonic's site and it's still there too but not on the list; weird. Thanks for confirming that my eyesight is still good!
