    You have several serious issues
    The first is NetControl
    http://www.pestpatrol.com/PestInfo/n/netcontrol_2.asp

    The second is CWS
Download and run CWShredder by Merijn Bellekom
Run it, press 'Fix', and allow it to fix all it finds.

Run HijackThis again, push Scan and place a check mark next to the following items using your mouse.
Not all of these entries will still be present - but make sure you get the ones that are.
Next, close all browser Windows, and push the 'Fix checked' button in HijackThis

Download the latest version of Ad-Aware at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
After installing AAW, and before running the program, you NEED to FIRST update the reference file following these instructions.
    Now do the following:
    - Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Scanning Engine:
check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."
    - Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Cleaning Engine:
Check: "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

    Press "Scan Now"
    - Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
    - Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
    - Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
    - Select the active partition which is usually C:

Now press "Next" to let Ad-aware scan your drives...
It will find a number of "bad" files and registry keys.
Right-click in that pane and choose "select all"

    Now press "Next" again.

That last one is an AutoUpdate Service hook from microsoft for your OS and is normal for WinME

The rest are normal windows components
for example spool32.exe is the print spooler

One last question, this wasn't previous on any other logs but it has been recently

    O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

If you need the rest of the log I will post, thanks for the replies.

If you've used sdhelper from SpybotSD in an attempt to lock the home pages etc. - that is the reason for it showing up (some other protections will do it as well)

If you can't account for it with some form of protection - fix it - it's used by both the good guys and the bad guys.
When someone is infected and the homepage or whatever is locked - it can be in the way of the fix sometimes as well -- your call
