Does un-installing/re-installing NOD32..

Cause Port Explorer to not start correctly anymore?

 

I have not heard of any problems associated with NOD32 & PE - Have you tried re-installing PE as suggested ?

Yes, just got through doing that. At the re-start after the re-install of PE, NOD's IMON failed and had to fix itself, which necessitated another re-start - but everything seems to be working correctly now.

I have had silly's like that before Usually when I forget to close down other resident programmes - I forget & Windows gets confused

 

Yes IMON used to be the cause of many LSP problems due to the way it likes to wrap itself around everything. But thankfully they have made it autodetect changes in the LSP and fix most things. At the very least it will work with Port Explorer but I am sure it works good with other apps too that use the LSP.

If you go into IMON there is an option
"Automatically detect changed in network configuration"

I am pretty sure this is the settings its related to, if you don't have the automatic mode on, if there is a problem with NOD32 then simply click REPAIR now and hopefully it will fix itself.
