Can anyone pls. tell me if TI supports or plans to support the built in RAID of the nvidia nforce4 based motherboards? I recently bought one of these and wish to use TI to transfer the contents of my old HD to a new Raid-0 stripe that is hosted off this built in SATA raid. thanks

    Hello LuckMan212,

Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

We regret to inform you that current version of Acronis True Image doesn't support NForce4 RAID. This controller will be supported in future versions of Acronis software.

Also please note that if you transfer your system from non-RAID configuration to RAID it may not boot because of the lack of drivers. It is not the problem of some particular software of hardware. The main point is that after the transfer Windows will not find drivers for your new hard disk so it won't be able to boot from it.

You may install Windows in ordinary way and then extract necessary files from disk image if you need. Acronis True Image will work properly with NForce4 under Windows.

    Thank you.

  3. Hello,

When do you expect a working nforce4 raid version of true image? Though this controller is out for weeks now, there is obviously no image program at all that can handle it :(.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Sonny Burnett,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

We regret to inform you that the support of NVRAID is not implemented yet. The main problem is the lack of open source drivers for the chipset and NVidia's unwillingness to share its chipset specification that could allow us to create the necessary drivers by our own means. As soon as our Development Team finds the driver or specification the improvement to Acronis software will be made. Currently Acronis True Image is able to work with NForce4 only in non-RAID mode.

    Thank you.
