does it search my HD

    I have just downloaded Spywareblaster.

    I think I understand how it stops bad things coming into my PC but can it search my HD to see if I have bad things already in it?

    My PC may be being used as a proxy server. :doubt:

    Hi scotsman, and welcome to Wilders,

    No, you're correct that SpywareBlaster works strictly as a preventative "barrier". It doesn't have any scanning capabilities to find existing things on your system -- for that you'll want Ad-Aware and/or Spybot S&D, or one or more similar products which do offer scanning.
