Does Ikarus have Outbreak detection?

    Hi,

    I noticed a new malware file which was hardly detected on VirusTotal was detected as Ikarus
    Found Win32.Outbreak


    I wonder whether they include the outbreak shield found on Gdata (Comcast product http://www.commtouch.com/site/Resources/map.asp ) or whether its a heuristic detection? Anyone know?

    It'd be far less of a stretch of logic to assume that it's just a name they use for that particular piece of malware.

    Possible but I have seen a couple of detections in the past as W32/outbreak

    You may be right.
