I know one of the Defensewall's has a firewall built in, but does GeSWall? I have tried emailing them to ask but they won't respond for whatever reason.

it does not have a firewall.

and the reason they don't respond is the development of Geswall is rather stagnant.

í like the software but it does not like my computer for whatever reason.

That is why I dropped GeSWall and added DefenseWall. The GeSWall forums are a ghost town.

I would use Defensewall too, even if it meant paying, but it has no 64-bit version and I think GeSWall will beat it to it. I know I know I could use Sandboxie but I like a policy-based sandbox better than Sandboxie's style of sandbox.

The only policy restriction software - similar to DefenseWall and GeSWall - that I know of, which is both under active development and 64-bit compatible, is AppGuard.

    Ah, I got a response:

    Dear Brandon,

GeSWall allows control of network traffic similar to firewall functionality. Please check "Network Access Restriction", "How to deny network access for isolated applications",
"How to deny network access for all applications" articles for more details.

GeSWall is getting packaged with LeakWall Lite, another our product. Thus the release of GeSWall x64 would be in synch with LeakWall Lite which is currently under beta testing.

    Best regards,
    Brian L. Walche,

So that may mean GeSWall x64 is near, since they are beta testing Leakwall Lite.

So Geswall and Leakwall will be together as one program or something? I wonder how the GUI will look. 0_o

I'm not sure. I remember getting an email about Leakwall Lite's beta since I had shown interest in the GeSWall beta, but I decided not to try it because it seems more like an enterprise product than a home product like GeSWall, so I am just waiting for GeSWall.
