Does anyone know when VIPRE will be oficially released ?

I know VIPRE (Sunbelt) is currently in the beta stage.

Does anyone have any knowledge or expectations about when to expect the official release ?

I suggest you send Inspector Clouseau a Private Message with your question. He works there now but there are 2 big IF's...

1- IF there is as yet an estimated release date

and

2- IF he is inclined to make that date public.

As to IF #2, most outfits are extremely reluctant to disclose possible release dates -- mainly because people go all ballistic when those dates aren't met (which they usually are NOT met).

Delays and more delays.

According to an earlier 'promise' we would have Counterspy version 3 weeks or months ago.

It's a bit disappointing.

And the time it takes for the updates of definition files to merge gets more and more rediculous. To the point I'm thinking about no longer updating the product.

 

Sunbelt has always been slow. Has CounterSpy ever been released?

Talking about bugs ...

The first VIPRE BETA they released was very raw, they have been going through several beta versions now. What are they now at, six , seven or eight ?

I wouldn't want a premature release, and I hope they are going to beta-test Counterspy 3 before they release it! But they are WAY behind their estimates/promises.
