Hi. I just did a a2 scan and it reported 2 Malware finds. They are:
    C:\OEMDRVRS\COMMON\KILLAPPS.EXE
    C:\WINNT\system32\killapps.exe

I did some searching and there is a lot of debate if it is actually a False positive instead of Malware. I was wondering if anyone has found out what it is for sure. I used the latest Signature update for a2, but I don't want to remove anything before I find out. Thanks for any info.

    Hi Chip,

Looks like you have an Audigy Soundcard from Creative Labs.

You'll find useful info and key comments from Andreas Haak (bottom post) here,
along with a link back to Wilder's for the rest. See TopperID's post ten. ;)

This whole thing came about when A2 increased it's Sig base and started to identify 'Riskware' (which is not the same thing as 'Malware'). For a fuller explanation see the A2 Forum here:- http://forum.emsisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=2459

Hi, i'd be a bit cautious about writting it off as a FP, I believe Kaspersky detects KILLAPPS.EXE as Agobot worm, or related to it, the worm modifies files processes to avoid detection.
