    Doctor Web gains status of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner

    November 3, 2011

    Doctor Web, the Russian IT-security solutions vendor, has been granted the highest Microsoft partner status, having fulfilled all the necessary conditions in the Independent Software Vendor Competency. The status attests to Doctor Web anti-virus products’ full compatibility with the Windows 7 platform and reaffirms the high level of the qualifications of Doctor Web experts.

    Actually, quite a few other software vendors already have this status, and Dr.Web took 5 years to reach Gold status. It's not a big deal when looking at it this way.

    To name a few off the top of my head: AVG, Sunbelt/GFI, Trend Micro, Symantec, Kaspersky

    To us as end users, it doesn't really make a huge difference anyway.
